Define the protective task
Contamination-control clothing and radiation-shielding products serve different functions. Specify the field-response task and request exact-model performance documents, sizing and compatibility with the rest of the equipment. Include storage conditions, replacement items and inspection criteria. The response team’s protection lead should confirm the required protective function.

Make measurement acceptance traceable
For the radiation instruments in the kit, request instrument and probe serial numbers, calibration date, covered quantities and ranges, results, uncertainty and traceability information. Agree recalibration arrangements and turnaround. Keep functional checks, maintenance and calibration separate, with intervals determined by the team’s programme and applicable requirements.

Complete the decontamination configuration
List the intended personnel or equipment application, capacity, required water and power, collection containers and waste-handling interfaces. Request an itemised configuration with hoses, fittings, consumables and service parts. Confirm packing dimensions and transport arrangements and separate initial supplies from replenishment costs.
Agree a practical handover
Request an equipment list, user-language instructions, training scope and maintenance plan. Agree demonstration conditions, inspection records and acceptance criteria for each supplied item. Confirm the nominated service contact, warranty process and the stock of consumables required for the team’s readiness plan.
